  • An Initial Consultation: in your first session we discuss your goals,assess your body's needs and provide an introduction to the authentic Pilates method.

  • A Private session: an individual session with an instructor gives you an extra chance to get to know the apparatus and develop your confidence with the exercises before joining a group class.

  • A Group Session: experience a small group class with a maximum of 3 other clients of your ability and feel invigorated, flexible and strong.

You've heard of Pilates - the word is almost common as yoga or karate...

But did you know that that Pilates was a man? Joseph Pilates developed this physical fitness system in the early 20th century, calling his exercise method "Contrology", which refers to the way the method encourages the use of the mind to control the muscles. It is an exercise program that focuses on the core postural muscles that help keep the body balanced and are essential to provide support for the spine.

Over the years, the popularity of Pilates exercises have led to a dilution of the method as taught by Joseph Pilates. We at APM aim to teach with the utmost integrity and preserve the principals of the Pilates method in our Studio. Our Instructors, certified by Authentic Pilates Education Australia, teach the classical method of Pilates in a fully equipped studio of traditional Pilates apparatus, originally designed by Joseph Pilates, direct from NY.

Regular practice of Pilates with a qualified Instructor will bring your body to its full potential. You will:
